Imperial Baarez Triumphs at Al Khalediah International Arabian Horse Festival 2009

The Al Khalediah International Arabian Horse Festival in Tebrak, Saudi Arabia, is one of the most prestigious events dedicated to the celebration of Arabian horses. Hosted by Prince Khaled bin Sultan Al Saud at his world-renowned Al Khalediah Farm, the festival brings together hundreds of the finest purebred Arabians from across the globe. In 2009, its second edition drew more than 400 horses from 18 countries, turning the vast farm—home to over 900 Arabians—into a stage of elegance, heritage, and spirited competition.

Among the many highlights of the event was the Stallions Championship, where the most noble and powerful horses competed for the highest honors. On January 30, 2009, the spotlight fell on two remarkable champions: Imperial Baarez, owned by Tarek and Ahmed Hamdy Soliman, who claimed the coveted first prize, and Om El Extreem, representing Ajman Stud, who earned second place.

Yet, as the crowd awaited the formal results, what lingered most in memory was not rivalry, but a gesture of quiet connection. Side by side, the two stallions gently nuzzled each other, offering a moment of grace that transcended competition. It was a reminder that Arabian horses, revered for their strength, beauty, and intelligence, also carry within them a spirit of nobility and gentleness that has captured human admiration for centuries.

A tender nuzzle between rivals—Imperial Baarez and Om El Extreem share a moment of grace beyond competition.

In the quiet moment when Imperial Baarez and Om El Extreem touched muzzles, the festival revealed its deeper meaning. Beyond ribbons and titles, the Al Khalediah International Arabian Horse Festival became a living testament to the Arabian horse’s role in human history—carriers of dreams, symbols of grace, and guardians of heritage. Such encounters remind us that true victory lies not only in triumph, but in the harmony, beauty, and cultural legacy these noble horses continue to share with the world.
